A Weekend in San Francisco

Weekends are time you get to draw yourself out of the daily busy weekday-monotony. Why not really make good use of these two days. So, thinking what you should do? Well, what about going for a trip? Boudin's Sourdough: According to Boudin’s website, the wild yeasts which grow in the San Francisco air, provide an inimitable, sour taste to the conventional French bread, thus giving it the name ‘sourdough’. The primary recipe of the sour dough is still used, mingled with a part of the original mother dough, in order to bake the loaves. Bouldin’s boasts of being “The Real San Francisco Treat”. Golden Gate: The Golden Bridge used to, at a time; used to be called "the bridge that couldn't be built," yet today; it is 1 of the 7 wonders of the present-day world. This magnificent bridge in San Francisco was opened in 1937, after a four-year effort against the harsh winds, fog, rock and perfidious tides. If you’re taking your cars, it is better that you know that the vehicles are not allowed on certain roads, which run throughout the park, especially on Sundays. De Young Museum:  The de Young Museum came into being as a result of the 1894 California Midwinter International Exposition. It was later named as the Memorial Museum. 30 later, it was again, renamed. This time, in honor of Michael H.de Young. It is home to the museum’s major collections, ranging from American painting and sculpture to ornamental arts from the 17th century to the 21st century’s art from diverse places like Africa, Oceania, and the Americas; costume and textile arts; and the international contemporary art.

San Francisco Symphony: It was originally founded as an orchestra for the people, merely 5 years post-1906 earthquake, The San Francisco Symphony has presented ground-breaking musical shows that has been providing a mixture of classical and new music; for more than a century.

Lombard Street: The street is known as the “Crookedest Street in the World”. Lombard Street is one of the most popular tourist destinations in San Francisco. Each year, several thousands of tourists walk or drive down its 8 sharp hairpin turns. The Lombard Street is dotted by Russian Hill mansions and are perfectly beautified and landscaped with flowers; and is also 1 of the city’s most beautiful streets.
